What is Hoarding?

  1. There are several layers to Hoarding.  It can range from minor clutter and a deep house cleaning.  Or it can be as severe as blocked pathways to rooms.  Some rooms being completely unusable.
  2. A  hoarding situation can include things like old records, magazines, newspapers, empty boxes, unneeded clothes.  A rule of thumb is if you do not regularly use some things in a room for 6 months or more than it can contribute to a hoarding or potential hoarding situations.
  3. Hoarding can apply to every room in a house.  Or it can be limited to a garage.  Or a old bedroom or office.  Some people will feel they want to just "store" something for future use that never comes.
  4. There are several other bio-hazard hoarding situations.  Involving pets, animals, blood, feces, bugs infestation.  We would not service this kind of hoarding situations.
